What is it that hath transpired?
Blades, what evil hath befallen the town?
At such time as the
assasin didst strike
Maglor was conferring with mighty General
Spag,
And therefore knowest not what evil has befallen the town.
Which of ye shall relate the tale?
If some evil hath
struck at Maglor's people
Be assured that he will avenge it!
The kind miner, a dwarf that had just brought his family to work in the
mines of Esirup was simply walking out of Eight Blades Inn. Before he
could blink an eye an arrow came from a nearby tree and went through his
throat killing him instantly.
Pol had just walked out also and seen the halfling (Red outfit with a black
hood, gloves, and boots,) jump from the tree and begin to run to the east.
She caught up to him before he headed into the eastern territory and she
got a couple of arrows in him. So he ducked behind Athena's Guard
shack and ran behind it and dived into the water eluding her momentarily.
As she walked around the building she once again spotted him heading
east and she once again began pursuit. By the time he had reached the
cave he was out of bow range. She continued and by the time she got out
of the cave he was nowhere to be seen. She checked for tracks, and he
was not slowing down to hide them so she got a good eye on where he
went. She hesitated for the rest of Blades to come. Realizing she or the
other members of the Blades had not gathered their supplies for a hunt
they spoke to each other, with the tracks fresh they decide to run back into
town and gather up supplies and begin to track down this man that has
brought death into their town...
(Meanwhile), TA who had the most interaction with the dwarven miner
went to find his wife and instead ran into another dwarf. He admitted that
they had come from the Hills of Horned Head when they had an
altercation with a halfling group. All of the dwarves were killed but him
and his friend, including the miners family, he just couldn't except his
lose. However he (the miner) was the only one that saw the face of the
halfling culprit and was the only one that could recognize him, make that
was the only one that could recognize him.
Poor Maglor!
Alas, reports have returned that fair Belindra's ship will not return before
her love departs for distant realms. But fear not, Maglor will see her again.
Maglor laments:
Will there never be an end to these trials?
For love, Maglor lives; And living, doth love as though his life dependeth on
it!
